3 Axis Machines

3 axis machine tool is the most common CNC machine tool. The transverse motion axis of the workbench is called the X-axis, the longitudinal motion axis is called the Y-axis, and the up and down motion axis is called the Z-axis. Therefore, this is an ordinary three-axis CNC machine tool. In three-axis CNC machining, the workpiece remains stationary while the cutting tool moves along the 3-axis to mill the part. 3-axis machining is still one of the widely used technologies for manufacturing mechanical parts, which can be used for automatic/interactive operations, milling grooves, drilling, and cutting sharp edges. Due to the fact that 3-axis machining is only performed on the 3-axis, it is relatively simple and can remove materials from these three axes in a forward, backward, left, up, down, and up/down representation.
